Rules:
- Establish average prize money figures for every horse in the race (life time earnings divided by the number of starts)
- Eliminate any horse not in the first half of the betting. In other words if there are 12 starters in a race, the horse must be in the top 6 of betting. In an 18 horse field, you are only looking at the top 9.
- Selection is the horse with the highest average prize money figure in the top half of the betting
Test results: only figure we have on this is for november 2004 when there were 18 qualifiers for 14 place getters with a profit on turnover of better than 19%.
