This system seems to work because you are looking for only horses in winning form at the peak of their form, with as little time as possible in between starts in which they may have “trained off”.
Rules:
- Selection must have won its last start
- Selection is horse with the least number of days since its last start
- If more than one horse is equal, discard the race
