This system is for use at midweek Provincial and Country meetings and not designed for use at city tracks.
Rules:
- Use only in Maidens, Class 1, Class 2 and Class 3 Handicap races (up to 68 class races in the new terminology)
- Eliminate any race longer than 1600 metres
- Eliminate any race with less than ten runners
- Eliminate any horse that is not top weight or equal top weight
- Eliminate any horse not ridden by a claiming apprentice
